The MP522 is a seven input preamplifier, with five inputs offering XLR microphone inputs with phantom power, and two inputs providing balanced line-level inputs. These inputs use a 6.3 mm jack socket. The use of stereo or mono plugs enables easy balanced or unbalanced operation. Individual input gain controls enable the balancing of signal levels. Furthermore, each input has independent Low / High equalization facilities.
Two balanced output channels are provided.
All seven inputs can be switched individually to either output, local or remote. Any combination can be used, where any input can be switched independently from the A or B output channels, or both outputs at the same time.
The electronically balanced outputs on the MP522 appear as a transformer style outputs One side can be grounded while the overall gain remains the same.
An overload LED on the front panel warns of internal overload of any amplifier section. A power-on LED is also provided.
The unit can be rackmounted and requires 1/2 rack width.
A major aspect of the design effort that has been applied to make it immune to Radio Frequency Interference. Novel filtering techniques were developed to ensure performance which meets all regulations.
The preamplifier can be powered directly by AMPETRONIC Loop Drivers, or independently by our PS3 power supply for stand alone applications. Battery pack could be considered.
The AMPETRONIC MP522 microphone preamplifier has a 5 year warranty.
