The MP101 is a single channel preamplifier, for use in
situations where gain is needed to convert a single microphone to line level.
The unit has been designed for very low noise performance and offers phantom
powering of a microphone.
This preamplifier was designed by AMPETRONIC for use with their Induction
Loop Drivers, but it can be used in a wide range of applications in other
situations.
An important application of this preamplifier is where a loop system is driven from an existing audio mixing desk, where the sound signal can be reduced to nil. To prevent plunging listeners into acoustic 'blackness', we recommend the use of a background microphone, adjusted to a suitable level so that the listener is never isolated from the surroundings. This preamplifier permits this mode of operation.
A major aspect of the design effort that has been applied to make it immune to Radio Frequency Interference. Novel filtering techniques were developed to ensure performance which meets all regulations.
The preamplifier can be powered directly by AMPETRONIC Loop Drivers, or independently by our PS3 power supply for stand alone applications. Battery pack could be considered.
