AMPETRONIC ILD9 Induction Loop Driver

AMPETRONIC ILD9 I nduction Loop DriverILD9 Induction Loop DriverThe AMPETRONIC ILD9 Induction Loop Driver is designed for a wide range of assistive listening applications where superior vocal and musical reproduction is paramount. The ILD9 sets new standards for constant-current loop driving, utilizing the latest design technology to provide absolutely neutral, very high quality sound, with distortion levels well below those commonly associated with this type of equipment. The ILD9 Induction Loop Driver is designed to be used with simple, single turn loops, which ensures ease of installation, and when combined with very small cable size, visual impact is minimized.

A single ILD9 Induction Loop Driver provides nominal area coverage for rectangular loop areas up to 500 m² (5400 ft²) and multiple ILD9 drivers can be connected in Master-Slave configuration allowing coverage of areas greater than 4,000 m² (43,000 ft²). This is useful for driving loops covering large areas such as Cathedrals, sports halls, and theaters. Coverage of larger areas is possible. The ILD9 can also be used in applications where specialized requirements are necessary, such as phased arrays for low-spillover environments or sites with very significant amounts of metal present.

The unit is designed to be driven from other sound systems, but AMPETRONIC supplies a range of accessory modules that permit full stand alone operation.

An internal automatic diagnostic system continually monitors performance. The unit is now available with factory fitted option of LOOP CONDITION MONITORING. This allows the equipment to be used with voice evacuation systems, offering full system monitoring and signaling. For full details and prices on this option, please contact us.

A very high performance COMPRESSOR and AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL system, combined with wideband audio circuitry, maximizes both music and speech reproduction for hearing aid users. While retaining the normal speech dynamics to maximize expression, the total dynamic range is reduced to a level more suitable for hearing aid users. Metal loss frequency correction is provided and is adjustable from 0 to 3dB per octave, using 1kHz as constant gain frequency.

The ILD9 can also be used with induction loop receivers. This permits anyone with an induction loop receiver to hear the signal being transmitted over the loop. This allows the ILD9 to be used in applications ranging from visitor guidance to teaching, translation, noisy environments, and any other application where controlled audio input is desired.

Full monitoring of the equipment operation is provided, using LEDs to indicate signal and loop current levels, with headphone monitoring of the actual loop current.

A further provision is an innovative method to eliminate the generation of Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), which is compulsory for CE approval. Patents for this method have been granted in a number of countries.

The equipment is easy to install, providing fully professional standards to ease connection to other sound equipment. The equipment is robust and extremely reliable.

The AMPETRONIC ILD9 Induction Loop Driver carries a 5 year warranty.
