The AMPETRONIC ILD15BB driver is designed specifically for use in elevators (lifts) while the ILD15NB can be used for other specialized purposes. The major problem in these locations is the loss caused by metal structure, which in most modern elevators is a fully metal cage.
Both the ILD15BB and the ILD15NB are designed to cope with the energy requirements of such a locations, and offer the frequency dependent correction needed to ensure correct frequency response. A further capability, often needed in this situation, is integral battery backup, so that full operation can be maintained under emergency conditions. This capability is available in the ILD15BB by incorporating full battery backup.
The ILD15BB accepts signals from the normal elevator sound system, and from any other sound system that carries general and evacuation information. The position of the loop cable in this application is very important, and AMPETRONIC should be consulted on the location and construction of the loop cable structure before installation.
